Display
The 14-inch OLED touchscreen is one of the ZenBook 14’s biggest strengths.
It offers a 1920 × 1200 16:10 resolution, 100% DCI-P3 color coverage, 0.2ms response time and up to 500 nits HDR peak brightness.
Colors look rich, blacks are excellent, and the touchscreen is useful for browsing, documents and creative work.
The main downside is the 60Hz refresh rate. A 90Hz or 120Hz panel would have made the laptop feel more premium.
Performance
The Intel Core Ultra 5 225H has 14 cores and can boost up to 4.9GHz. It also includes an Intel AI Boost NPU rated at up to 13 TOPS.
Combined with 16GB RAM, it is more than capable of handling:
- Web browsing
- Microsoft Office
- Large spreadsheets
- Streaming
- Video calls
- Programming
- Photo editing
- Light video editing
- Heavy everyday multitasking
For most students and office users, performance should be more than sufficient.
Intel Arc Graphics
Integrated Intel Arc graphics are a major improvement over basic integrated graphics and work well for multimedia, creative applications and some lighter gaming.
However, this is still an ultraportable laptop rather than a dedicated gaming machine. Modern AAA games are better suited to laptops with discrete NVIDIA or AMD graphics.
Battery Life
The ZenBook 14 includes a large 75Wh battery.
ASUS-related retail specifications claim up to 18 hours of video playback, although actual battery life will vary significantly with brightness, workload and power settings. Fast charging is rated to reach around 70% in 49 minutes.
Design & Portability
Portability is excellent.
At only 1.28 kg (2.82 lb) and approximately 14.9 mm thick, the ZenBook 14 is easy to carry between home, school, work and travel.
The Ponder Blue finish and slim chassis also give it a more premium appearance than many mainstream Windows laptops.
Ports & Connectivity
Despite its compact size, connectivity is good:
- 2× Thunderbolt 4
- 1× USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A
- HDMI 2.1
- 3.5mm audio jack
- Wi-Fi 7
- Bluetooth 5.4
That means most users will not need to carry a USB hub for everyday use.
