Design & Display
The 16:10 display gives you more vertical space than traditional 16:9 laptops, making it comfortable for documents, websites, spreadsheets, and multitasking.
At around 4.14 lb (1.88 kg), the Vivobook 16 is reasonably portable considering its large screen.
The main weakness is the basic 60Hz, 300-nit panel. It is perfectly usable indoors, but users looking for premium brightness, high refresh rates, or professional-level colour reproduction may want something better.
Performance
Intel Core Ultra configurations provide plenty of performance for:
- Microsoft Office
- Chrome and everyday browsing
- Zoom and video calls
- Streaming
- Light photo editing
- Programming
- Everyday multitasking
Some configurations support up to 32GB RAM and 1TB SSD storage, making the Vivobook 16 suitable for heavier productivity workloads as well.
It isn’t primarily designed as a gaming laptop, so serious gamers should look at ASUS TUF or ROG models instead.
Keyboard & Webcam
The large chassis provides plenty of keyboard space, while ASUS lists 1.7mm key travel and a precision touchpad on current X1607 models. Some versions also include an FHD IR camera with Windows Hello support and a privacy shutter.

Verdict
The ASUS Vivobook 16 is a strong everyday 16-inch laptop for students, home users, and professionals who want a large screen without buying a bulky gaming machine.
Its biggest strengths are the spacious 16:10 display, modern processors, upgrade-friendly memory options on selected configurations, and practical design. The basic 60Hz display is its main compromise.
