Acer Aspire Go 15 Review: Affordable Laptop for Work and School

The Acer Aspire Go 15 AG15-21P-R5YG is an affordable 15.6-inch laptop built for everyday productivity, school, office work, web browsing, and streaming.

It features an AMD Ryzen 3 7320U processor, AMD Radeon 610M graphics, 8GB LPDDR5 RAM, 128GB SSD, Wi-Fi 6, and a Full HD IPS display. This particular bundle also includes additional external storage accessories and Windows 11 Pro.

Acer Aspire Go 15 Specs

The Ryzen 3 7320U configuration and 15.6-inch 1080p IPS display are also consistent with Acer’s Aspire Go 15 product family.

Performance

The AMD Ryzen 3 7320U is an entry-level 4-core, 8-thread processor with boost speeds up to 4.1GHz.

It is well suited for:

• Web browsing
• Microsoft Office
• Google Docs
• YouTube and Netflix
• Zoom meetings
• Online classes
• Email
• Light multitasking

For students and everyday home users, performance should be sufficient.

However, this isn’t designed for heavy video editing, 3D rendering, or demanding professional applications.

15.6-Inch Full HD Display

The Aspire Go 15 includes a 15.6-inch 1920 × 1080 Full HD IPS display.

The IPS panel provides wider viewing angles than basic TN screens, while the anti-glare surface makes it comfortable for documents, browsing, and streaming.

For an inexpensive productivity laptop, Full HD resolution is a strong advantage.

AMD Radeon 610M Graphics

Graphics are handled by the integrated AMD Radeon 610M.

It works well for:

• Streaming video
• Everyday graphics
• Very light games
• Older games
• Basic photo editing

However, the Radeon 610M is not designed for modern AAA gaming.

Gamers should look for a laptop with dedicated NVIDIA GeForce or stronger integrated graphics.

8GB LPDDR5 RAM

The laptop includes 8GB LPDDR5 RAM.

This is enough for normal Windows use and moderate multitasking, but users who regularly open many browser tabs and applications may eventually find 8GB restrictive.

This is especially important because this Aspire Go configuration is intended primarily as a budget everyday computer.

128GB SSD + 160GB Dock

One detail buyers should understand is the storage configuration.

The laptop itself has a 128GB PCIe SSD.

The advertised 288GB total combines the laptop’s internal storage with a 160GB external docking-station bundle. The bundle listed by the retailer includes a dock with 128GB storage plus a 32GB microSD card and other accessories.

So this should not be considered a laptop with a 288GB internal SSD.

The 128GB internal SSD is relatively small, especially after Windows and applications are installed.

Ports & Connectivity

Connectivity is surprisingly good for a budget laptop.

You get:

• 2× USB-C
• USB-A 3.2
• USB-A 2.0
• HDMI 2.1
• 3.5mm audio jack
• Wi-Fi 6
• Bluetooth 5.1

The laptop also includes a dedicated Copilot key for quick access to Microsoft’s AI features.

Webcam

The Aspire Go 15 includes a 720p HD webcam.

It is sufficient for:

• Zoom
• Microsoft Teams
• Online classes
• Basic video calls

The product listing also advertises AI-assisted noise reduction for calls.

Design & Portability

At approximately 1.72 kg / 3.79 lb, the Aspire Go 15 is reasonably portable for a full-size 15.6-inch laptop.

Its dimensions are approximately 36.3 × 23.75 × 1.98 cm.

The full-size design also gives you more keyboard space than smaller 13- or 14-inch laptops.

Verdict

The Acer Aspire Go 15 AG15-21P-R5YG is a good budget laptop for students, home users, and basic office work.

The Ryzen 3 7320U, 8GB LPDDR5 RAM, Full HD IPS display, Wi-Fi 6, and useful port selection provide everything needed for everyday computing.

Its biggest limitation is storage. The laptop itself has only a 128GB internal SSD, despite this bundle being advertised with 288GB of total storage.

If you need an inexpensive laptop mainly for browsing, Office, streaming, and schoolwork, the Aspire Go 15 offers solid value.
