Performance
The Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy gives the Galaxy S25 flagship-level performance.
Combined with 12GB RAM, it easily handles gaming, multitasking, photo editing, AI features, social media, and demanding apps.
Independent testing also found a significant performance increase compared with the previous Galaxy S24 generation.
6.2-Inch AMOLED Display
The Galaxy S25 features a 6.2-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with an adaptive refresh rate from 1Hz to 120Hz.
The compact screen is excellent for users who want flagship specifications without carrying a large phone.
Colors are vibrant, blacks are deep, and the 120Hz refresh rate makes scrolling and animations extremely smooth.
Camera
The rear camera system includes:
- 50MP main camera
- 12MP ultra-wide
- 10MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom
- 12MP front camera
Samsung also supports digital zoom up to 30x and 8K video recording at 30fps.
Camera hardware is similar to the previous generation, but Samsung uses improved processing and Galaxy AI features to enhance photos and videos. Independent testing found improvements particularly in processing and low-light photography.
Galaxy AI
Galaxy AI is a major part of the S25 experience.
Features include AI-assisted photo editing, Circle to Search, transcription tools, Audio Eraser, Gemini integration, and contextual AI features designed to work across supported apps.
These features are useful, although not every AI tool will be equally important for every user.
Battery Life
The Galaxy S25 has a 4,000mAh battery.
Samsung rates it for up to 29 hours of video playback under its test conditions.
Despite the relatively small battery capacity, efficiency from the Snapdragon processor helps battery performance. Tom’s Guide recorded 15 hours and 43 minutes in its battery test.
128GB Storage
This version includes 128GB internal storage and 12GB RAM.
For everyday apps, photos, and streaming, 128GB can be sufficient.
However, users recording lots of 4K or 8K video, installing large games, or storing large photo libraries should consider the 256GB version.
There is no microSD card slot, so storage cannot be expanded later.
Design
The Galaxy S25 is only 7.2mm thick and weighs 162g, making it unusually compact for a flagship smartphone.
It also features IP68 water and dust resistance and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection.

Verdict
The Samsung Galaxy S25 is a powerful compact flagship for users who want premium performance without a huge smartphone.
Its Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, 12GB RAM, excellent 120Hz AMOLED display, capable triple-camera system, and Galaxy AI features make it a strong all-around phone.
The biggest weakness of this particular version is the 128GB non-expandable storage.
For buyers who prefer smaller phones but still want flagship performance, the Galaxy S25 delivers an excellent combination of speed, cameras, display quality, and portability.
