HERO 2 Sensor
The DEX uses Logitech’s flagship HERO 2 optical sensor.
It supports:
100–44,000 DPI
888+ IPS tracking
88+ G acceleration
Zero smoothing, acceleration or filtering
Independent testing also found excellent sensor accuracy and extremely low latency, making the mouse suitable for competitive gaming.
8kHz LIGHTSPEED Wireless
One of the biggest features is the maximum 8,000Hz wireless polling rate.
At 8kHz, the mouse can report its position to the PC far more frequently than a traditional 1,000Hz gaming mouse.
This is most useful for competitive players using high-refresh-rate monitors such as:
- 240Hz
- 360Hz
- 480Hz+
RTINGS measured exceptionally low click and sensor latency.
60g Lightweight Design
Logitech rates the Superlight 2 DEX at just 60 grams.
That makes it ideal for fast movements and low-sensitivity FPS gaming.
RTINGS measured its tested unit at approximately 58.4g, so real-world weight can vary slightly.
Ergonomic Right-Handed Shape
The biggest difference between the DEX and regular Superlight 2 is the shape.
The DEX has a larger asymmetrical right-handed design with a wider rear section and more palm support.
It works particularly well for:
Palm grip
Claw grip
Medium to large hands
The regular Superlight 2 has a more symmetrical shape, while the DEX is designed specifically for right-handed comfort.
LIGHTFORCE Switches
The main buttons use LIGHTFORCE hybrid optical-mechanical switches.
Logitech combines optical actuation with a mechanical-style click feel.
Optical technology also avoids the traditional electrical debounce limitations associated with conventional mechanical switches.
Battery Life
Battery performance is excellent.
Logitech rates the Superlight 2 DEX for up to:
95 Hours
of constant-motion battery life.
Actual runtime depends on settings, especially when using the maximum 8kHz polling rate.
USB-C Charging
Unlike the original PRO X Superlight, the DEX uses modern USB-C charging.
The package includes a USB-A to USB-C charging/data cable and receiver extension adapter.
POWERPLAY Support
The Superlight 2 DEX is compatible with Logitech’s POWERPLAY wireless charging system.
POWERPLAY can continuously charge the mouse while you use it, although the charging system is sold separately.
Logitech G HUB
G HUB allows you to customize:
- DPI
- Polling rate
- Button assignments
- Lift-off distance
- X/Y sensor sensitivity
- Onboard profiles
Logitech also lets users synchronize sensor sensitivity with another mouse.
5 Programmable Buttons
The mouse has five buttons.
That is enough for FPS gaming, but MMO and productivity users may prefer a mouse with more programmable controls.
No Bluetooth
The DEX uses Logitech’s LIGHTSPEED receiver and does not support Bluetooth.
RTINGS also notes there is no multi-device pairing.
For competitive gaming this is not a major issue, but it reduces flexibility for laptop and productivity use.
Mouse Feet
The DEX uses zero-additive PTFE feet.
Logitech markets them for smooth movement, although RTINGS found the stock feet do not glide as smoothly as some competing premium gaming mice.
Superlight 2 DEX vs Superlight 2
| Feature | Superlight 2 DEX | Superlight 2 |
|---|---|---|

| Polling | 8kHz | 8kHz |
| Shape | Ergonomic Right-Handed | Symmetrical |
| Battery | Up to 95h | Similar |

Performance is essentially the same. The main reason to choose the DEX is its ergonomic right-handed shape.
