How We Review
What our articles are based on
IRONreviews helps readers compare electronics and understand what to check before buying. Some articles are buying guides based on published specifications and documented features. They are not hands-on tests.
New and revised articles should state their basis near the beginning. When we have not independently measured performance, battery life, display quality or comfort, the article should say so. Older posts are being reviewed for clearer sourcing and labels.
How we use sources
Manufacturer specifications, manuals and support pages are the first reference for product features. Retailer listings help identify the exact configuration, seller and current offer. A listing is not independent proof of performance.
When discussing measured results from another publication, we should identify that source and its tested model. A manufacturer’s claim must remain attributed. Missing information should be described as unknown, not filled in with an assumption.
The exact model matters
A product family can include different processors, screens, memory, ports and batteries. Recommendations should identify the model or explain the range being discussed. Regional options and bundled accessories can differ.
Check the full model code, warranty region and return terms before ordering. Prices and availability can change after an article is updated.
Recommendations and ratings
Buying advice should connect a product’s documented features to a reader’s needs and explain the trade-offs. Specifications alone cannot establish real-world speed, reliability or battery endurance.
We do not add numeric ratings to new or revised articles without an explained scoring method and evidence supporting the score. Hands-on claims require an identified test unit, conditions and results.
Affiliate links and corrections
IRONreviews may earn a commission when a reader buys through an affiliate link. Using that link does not add a fee to the purchase. See our Affiliate Disclosure for details.
